B. A. Germanic Languages and Literatures, Harvard College
Anton Chaevitch earned his B.A. from Harvard in 2010. His honors thesis was a translation with critical commentary of Goethe's dialogue Über Wahrheit und Wahrscheinlichkeit der Kunstwerke, which sought to understand Goethe's work as a phenomenology. It earned him a Bernhard Blume Award for best thesis on a German topic. Anton's main research interests are at the intersection of literature and philosophy, mostly in the 18th century. Anton is also a non-resident tutor in Mather House, where he runs a German table. His remaining time is often spent writing stories, taking photographs, and learning languages.
