Dr. Sebastian Meixner will be a guest lecturer in German 229, a seminar on Goethe's novels, on November 15, during the regular classroom session. He will speak on “The Narratology of Sequence (Folge): Closure &amp; Continuation in Goethe's *Lehrjahre.*” All are welcome to attend. Dr. Meixner's work ranges from the attempt to historicize narratology in the *Goethezeit* back to the poetics of "excess" in Gottsched and forward to Gottfried Keller. He is currently a visiting scholar at Columbia University.
