Hans Pech has studied in Freiburg and Tübingen and obtained his Magister degree in 2010. His Magister thesis examines Marx' value theory and fetishism concept. Before joining the Ph.D. program in 2016, he had spent several years teaching German in Madrid, Spain, and Cambridge, MA. His Ph.D. thesis analyzes German mystical literature in its relation to reform and community with a focus on the late Middle Ages and the early modern period. His broader interests include the connection between narrative and power as well as the intersection between the literary and the scientific.
