Celebrated Japanese-German author Yoko Tawada has been widely noted for her intercultural and multilingual approach. She has received numerous prestigious awards for both her German and her Japanese books. Having been a writer in residence at several universities across the U.S., she currently holds the DAAD Chair in Contemporary Poetics at NYU.
