Tonje C. Gulbrandsen is a native Norwegian and attended University of Stavanger in Norway. She is a Fulbright student and graduated from Columbia Business School in New York in 2005. She has been teaching at Harvard since spring 2019 and has currently 11 students in both beginner and advance level. Tonje has been living in the US the last 10 years, and has previously worked for the Norwegian Seafood Council. 

She is currently a consultant for a cluster of seafood companies doing marketing research who are considering export opportunities to the US market. She also started her own company 10 years ago providing software as a service for accounting-, payroll and invoicing to start-ups and small businesses. Before she started teaching at Harvard, she taught students Norwegian through Listen & Learn and has been involved (and is also the female voice) in Pimsleur Norwegian level 2. On July 1sth 2019, she was appointed as the new Norwegian Honorary Consul in Boston
