Trine Frederiksen Calhoun

Trine Frederiksen Calhoun is originally from Denmark. She completed a B.A. in Scandinavian Languages and Literature at Aarhus University and an M.A. in Communications at Aalborg University, Copenhagen. She taught Danish at schools in Copenhagen and Roskilde before taking a position teaching Danish as a foreign language in Sisimiut, Greenland, where she also studied Kalaallisut (Greenlandic), and taught in Nuuk and Tasiilaq. Besides languages, her academic interests include cultural anthropology and postcolonial studies. She currently lives in Hull, Massachusetts with her husband and two daughters.
